About Us

Townsville Eisteddfod Inc. is incorporated as a not-for-profit organisation. Members pay a small subscription fee to join and they elect office-bearers to run the organisation. All members are unpaid volunteers.

Private Sponsorship

Sponsorship of trophies, awards, prize money and bursaries by private citizens is a much-valued asset of the Eisteddfod and is acknowledged in every instance in the Programme and by the Chairperson before and after each Section.

Corporate Sponsorship

We would like to offer businesses and organisations a unique opportunity to assist us in promoting the artistic endeavours of the youth of north Queensland and at the same time promote your business.

The Eisteddfod provides performance opportunities in visual and performing arts for the youth of Townsville, although participants also come from all over Queensland, from Cairns to Brisbane and west to Mt Isa.

The Eisteddfod is operated by a team of dedicated volunteer workers. It runs for 19 days involving over 2000 entrants including up to 35 schools. More than 18000 individual performances take place in two theatres and audience numbers can exceed 1000 for a session.

We are able to offer you the following opportunities : --

Advertising in the Townsville Eisteddfod Official Programme. This is an A5 sized book with glossy colour cover and at least 1000 copies are printed. Half page or full page advertisements are offered in colour or black and white.

Sponsorship of one or more Sessions. Each dayís competition is divided into morning, afternoon and evening Sessions. Typical Sessions run from 3 to 4 hours at a single venue and usually feature one discipline of the Arts, eg Dance, Drama, Music, etc.
A Session Sponsor is acknowledged by our Chairperson at the beginning and end of the Session, and between events during the course of the Session.
In the Official Programme, Sponsorship is noted for the Session and the Sponsors logo or name is printed on the inside covers.
The Sponsorís logo is also displayed on each page of our busy website.
Sponsors may display signs or banners in the auditorium during the Session and elsewhere in the venue at other times. Other promotional activities may be considered, providing the efficient conduct of the Eisteddfod is not affected.

Session Sponsorship
Some Sessions provide more exposure than others. Some include special events such as Championships and major prize presentations. Evening Sessions generally attract higher audience numbers and a greater proportion of adults.
On this basis, we have classified Sessions into 3 classes: Platinum, Gold and Silver.
